Global Teen Challenge Representative to Latin America

Norbert Schenhals serves as the Senior Assistant to Jerry Nance, President of Global Teen Challenge (GTC). Norbert also serves as a Representative of GTC to Latin America working together with Duane Henders, GTC Regional Representative to Latin America and the Caribbean.  Norbert provides oversight to the communication, translations and new country development projects in the Spanish speaking countries.

Norbert’s missionary calling came as he faced the opportunity to play professional football after an All American career in College. Upon hearing a clear directive from the Lord, he went to Argentina.  Norbert served as an Assemblies of God Missionary to Argentina for nine years as the Founder and Director of the Argentina Teen Challenge Ministry.  Today, after 27 years, this program is considered to be a model program in Latin America serving as a training ground for new leaders and programs in South America.

In the past, Norbert has also served Global Teen Challenge helping in the formation and the development of Teen Challenge ministries in other countries both in Europe and Latin America.

His ministry experience also includes eight years of pastoral ministry, six as a Senior Pastor in the Chicago area following his ministry time in Argentina.

He is a passionate preacher with a desire to see those bound by drugs to be set free to serve God, to plant new self-sustaining Teen Challenge Centers in new countries and to serve Latin America and the GTC leadership to help fulfill the mission laid before us.
